Basic info
- Health: Not applicable (falls and breaks or lands)
- Armor: None
- Size: Inherited from
EntityFallingBlock - Spawn conditions: Spawned when a pointed dripstone block loses its support
- Drops: Pointed dripstone item (1 block, with correct damage value for stalactite vs stalagmite)
- Behaviour: Physics-enabled falling block variant of pointed dripstone. Damages entities on impact if fallen far enough.
Fall damage
fallHurtMax = 40: maximum damage amount capfallHurtAmount = 4.0: damage multiplier per block of fall distancehurtEntities = true: always hurts entities on landing
Damage formula: min(floor((distance - 1.0) × fallHurtAmount), fallHurtMax)
Example: 10 blocks → (10-1) × 4.0 = 36 damage
Bounce behavior
When hitting ground that is NOT another dripstone block:
motionX *= 0.7motionZ *= 0.7motionY *= -0.5(bounces upward with damping)- Then dies
When hitting another dripstone block:
- No bounce — immediate death and drop

- Falls for >100 ticks and block Y < 1 or >256 → dies and drops item
- Falls for >600 ticks → dies and drops item
Notes
- Extends
EntityFallingBlock(base Minecraft falling block entity) - Unlike generic falling sand/gravel, this has explicit dripstone-specific fall damage
- Used for pointed dripstone physics (stalactites falling from ceilings)
